1 Who can use this service
The PageFly Free Service ("FS") is available to Shopify store owners who meet all of the following:
- Active Shopify store — your store is live on a Shopify plan, not in a development/partner preview or paused state.
- PageFly installed — the app is installed at the time of submission and stays installed through delivery. If PageFly is uninstalled or the store closes, the request ends.
- One free request per store — each store gets one, whether it ends in a delivered page or a closed request. Once it's finished you're welcome to ask us in the chat for another; we grant them depending on capacity.
- Accurate information — the store URL, contact email, page URL and description you give us are accurate and belong to you or your organisation.
We prioritise requests from stores on paid PageFly plans, but all eligible stores — including those on the Free plan — may submit a request. Request volume, team capacity and complexity affect turnaround time.
2 It's free
There is no charge for this service. We will never ask for payment, login credentials, or Shopify admin access outside of the standard Shopify collaborator request workflow.
If someone contacts you asking for payment in connection with this service, it is not from us — please report it.
3 What we build — scope & limits
Each request covers one page, one section or element, or improvements to one existing PageFly page — built with PageFly's visual editor. The three cards below are the whole picture.
3.1 What's included
- A new page — homepage, landing page, product page, collection page, "About us" or contact page
- A holiday or sale event page — Black Friday, Christmas, a product launch
- A single section or element, or improvements to a PageFly page you already have
- Layout, structure and design using PageFly's built-in elements
- Responsive design — desktop and mobile
- Stock/demo imagery as placeholders, swapped for your own images when you provide them
- Up to 2 rounds of revisions on your feedback after the first preview
3.2 Extended scope
We may accommodate the following depending on complexity and team capacity, and we may adjust the timeline or simplify the approach:
- Multi-section pages with complex layouts (8+ sections)
- Custom CSS beyond PageFly's built-in options
- Shopify metafields or basic Liquid snippets inside PageFly elements
- Recreating an existing design from a reference URL or mockup — see section 7 on rights
- Third-party app embed codes — provided by you, and yours to license and maintain
3.3 Outside our scope
- Theme customisation — changes to theme files, header, footer, navigation or global styles. → Your theme developer or Shopify Support.
- Custom Liquid / backend development — templates, app proxies, API integrations, server-side logic. → A Shopify Expert or developer.
- Third-party app configuration — setting up or troubleshooting apps other than PageFly. → That app's support team.
- Non-Shopify platforms — we only build on Shopify stores using PageFly.
- Paid/licensed assets — premium fonts, stock photos, icons or templates needing a licence. We use free alternatives or your own assets.
- Ongoing maintenance — post-delivery updates, seasonal refreshes, recurring edits. FS covers the initial build plus revision rounds.
- Full store builds — multiple pages, catalogue setup, theme configuration. One page per request.
- Work that could harm your store — anything that could break functionality, violate Shopify's terms or hurt performance.
- Content we don't build for — anything illegal, counterfeit or infringing, deceptive, adult, hateful, or otherwise restricted by Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy. → See section 10.
If your request falls partly outside scope, we'll build what we can and clearly explain the rest so you can get the right help.
4 Timeline & process
4.1 The six steps
- Submit your request at free-service.pagefly.io.
- Review — our team looks at the request, typically within 1–2 business days.
- Preview — we build a design preview and share it with you for feedback.
- Revisions — you send feedback, we revise (up to 2 rounds).
- Build — once you approve the design we build the page in your store via PageFly. You grant collaborator access for this step — see section 6.
- Deliver — we hand the finished page over, unpublished. Reviewing and publishing it is your call.
4.2 Turnaround
These are estimates, not guarantees. During high-volume periods timelines may be longer — we'll keep you updated in your Crisp chat.
4.3 Response & inactivity
- We communicate through Crisp — the chat widget on PageFly's site, or direct message. Please check your messages and reply within a reasonable timeframe.
- If we don't hear back after several follow-ups — usually within about two weeks of your last reply — we may close the request. You're always welcome to ask for another.
- Requests stay in our queue as long as there's active communication. We won't close a request while you're engaged.
5 Revisions
- Each request includes up to 2 rounds of revisions after the first preview.
- A "round" is one batch of feedback, addressed together — please consolidate your notes into one message per round.
- Revisions cover adjustments to what we built: layout, colours, text/image swaps, section reordering.
- Revisions do not cover scope expansion — new pages, features outside the original brief, or a redesign from scratch.
- Need more than 2 rounds? We'll do our best, but extra rounds are at our team's discretion based on capacity.
6 Working on your store
The build step happens inside your live store, so it's worth being precise about it. Everything here applies from the moment you grant access until the page is delivered.
- Collaborator access only — requested through Shopify's standard workflow, used solely to build the page you asked for, and revocable by you at any time. We ask you to revoke it once the work is delivered.
- We add, we don't rearrange. We create new PageFly pages. We don't modify your theme files, existing published pages, navigation, apps or store settings unless you explicitly ask us to.
- We leave the page unpublished. You review it and publish it yourself, unless you ask us to publish it for you.
- Please keep your own backup. Have a current backup of your store before granting access. We work carefully, but your store's data and configuration remain your responsibility.
- After delivery the page is in your hands. Once you or anyone else edits it, later changes aren't ours. PageFly, theme or Shopify updates may also change how it renders over time.
- Your PageFly plan still applies. The page counts toward your plan's published-page limit, and downgrading your plan may unpublish it.
- While we have access we see only what Shopify's collaborator permissions expose. We don't export or use your order or customer data — see section 9.
7 Your content and ours
- Your content stays yours. Text, images, logos and brand assets you provide remain your property.
- You confirm you have the right to use it. That covers text, images, fonts, logos and any reference design, URL or mockup you ask us to work from. We may decline anything that appears to infringe someone else's rights.
- The page we build is yours. Once delivered you can edit, publish, unpublish or delete it at any time in the PageFly editor.
- Stock/demo images in the preview are placeholders for demonstration only — replace them with your own before publishing. We always note this when sending a preview.
- Third-party embed code you give us stays yours to license and maintain. We place it as provided and aren't responsible for what it does.
- We keep the right to reuse our own work. The techniques, layouts and components we develop here aren't exclusive to any one store, and we may build similar designs for other merchants.
Showing the work as an example. We may display what we built — the design itself, without your store name, orders or customer data — in our showcase or when explaining the service. If you'd rather we didn't, tell us and we'll take it down.
8 Reviews & feedback
We may ask you to leave a review on the Shopify App Store after delivery. This is entirely optional and voluntary — it has no effect on the service you receive. We don't ask for a particular rating, and a low one changes nothing about the work you get.
Feedback you leave us directly — through the rating widget on our previews and showcase — helps us decide what to build next. Ratings are only ever used as an anonymous average. If you write a comment, we may show it publicly alongside your store name as a testimonial; tell us if you'd rather we didn't, or leave the comment box empty.
9 Your information
- What you give us — the store URL, email, page URL and description in the request form, plus whatever you send us in chat.
- What we already hold as PageFly — basic store details such as your plan, install date and public App Store review, so we don't have to ask you for them, and the support conversation tied to your request.
- Technical logs — when you open one of our links or previews we record the time, IP address and browser, to count views and prevent abuse.
- How it's used — solely to fulfil your request, communicate with you about it, and understand how the service is being used.
- Who else touches it — the tools we run the service on (support chat, spreadsheets, internal messaging) and AI-assisted tools we use to help draft messages and designs. We don't sell your information or use it for anything unrelated to this service.
- Collaborator access, when granted, is used only for building the requested page and is subject to Shopify's standard collaborator permissions — see section 6.
- Keeping and deleting — we keep request records for as long as we need them to run and improve the service. Ask us and we'll delete yours.
10 Declining or pausing requests
We may decline or pause a request for reasons including, but not limited to:
- It falls outside the scope in section 3.
- The store doesn't meet the eligibility criteria in section 1.
- It needs resources or expertise beyond what this free service can provide.
- The store has already used its free request.
- The information given is incomplete or inaccurate, or we can't verify the store.
- The request involves content we don't build for — illegal, counterfeit or infringing, deceptive, adult, hateful, or restricted under Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy.
- Automated, duplicated or abusive submissions, or abusive behaviour toward our team.
- Team capacity during high-volume periods.
We may also stop work on a request already in progress if one of the above comes to light.
When we decline, we explain why wherever we can and — where possible — suggest an alternative: the right team to contact, a simpler version that fits the scope, or resubmitting later. We won't leave you guessing about a request we've taken on.
11 Changes to the service and these terms
The service itself can change. This is a free programme run on spare capacity — we may change its scope, pause it, or end it at any time. No one holds a standing entitlement to it, and submitting a request doesn't create one.
We may also update these terms from time to time. Changes apply to new requests submitted after the update; ongoing requests continue under the terms in effect when they were submitted. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
12 Limitation of liability
This is a complimentary service provided "as-is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- We don't guarantee specific outcomes — conversions, sales, traffic, SEO ranking, page speed or store performance — or that the finished page will meet every expectation.
- We aren't liable for lost profits or sales, lost or corrupted data, downtime, or any indirect, incidental or consequential damage arising from the use or unavailability of this service.
- Where liability is nevertheless found, it is limited to the amount you paid for this service — which is nothing.
Nothing here limits any right you have that can't be limited under the law that applies to you.
13 These terms and PageFly's
This service is also subject to PageFly's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which cover the wider relationship — including governing law. Where they conflict with this page, those terms govern, except where this page is more specific about the Free Service itself.
The request form is offered in several languages for convenience; this English version of the terms is the one that governs.
Questions about these terms? Reach us through the Crisp chat on pagefly.io or email our support team.
